hiddenheartbreak is a series of comics that features painfully real moments from breakups, heartbreak, and modern love. My goal with this art is to find humor and irony in what are usually very painful times. Break ups, and the grief that is associated with them, can feel very isolating and shameful; I illustrate these feelings in order to open up a vulnerability that otherwise is usually shunned.
